Camp Rotary

Only 15 minutes from Gastonia

Camp Rotary is located six miles from Gastonia. It is convenient to Hwy. 74 and I-85, yet when you leave the major thoroughfares, you leave the hustle and bustle behind. Nestled at the foot of picturesque Crowder's Mountain, our camp is snuggled into the forest.

Camp Rotary is a modern facility, which provides a perfect setting for a unique outdoor experience. Our facilities include: the Connie Gibbons Program Center, Glenn Sisters Lodge, two outdoor cabin units, two indoor dorms, a craft house, a challenge course, a lake, swimming pool, nature center and trails, boats, a science hut and the new Community Pavilion.

Our Program

Our philosophy is to provide a quality camp program led by girls. Girl Scout camp offers a wonderful opportunity for girls of all ages and skill levels to explore activities in an outdoor setting.

Our program is designed so the girl can build her own skills and confidence. The overall program themes are set in advance so girls can choose the theme(s) that interest them. Weekly themed activities are arranged in advance to make the week exciting and special. A sampling of the our activities girls can choose from include aquatics in our lake and pool, a low-ropes challenge course, games, camp dancing, dress-up theater, singing, badge work, sports, fishing, crafts, nature, shopping at the camp store, and lots of fun and laughter!
