General Qualifications

All applicants must have the ability and desire to work with girls and adults as a team member. This is essential. Camp experience and a Girl Scout background are helpful but not required. Salary is determined by experience and skill levels.

Positions

Assistant Camp Director/CIT Director
Assist camp director in camp operations, support and supervise unit staff, coordinate schedules, and conduct CIT training.
Minimum age: 21 $250-$325/week
   
Business Manager
Responsible for general office work, running camp errands, and responsible for the Trading Post. Be an active member of the administrative team.
Minimum age: 21 $225-$300/week
   
Waterfront Director
Coordinates and supervises waterfront activities and waterfront staff. Current certification in WSI, Lifeguard, Waterfront Lifeguard or equivalent experience.
Minimum age: 21 $250-$375/week
   
Waterfront Assistant/Boating Instructor
Serves as a lifeguard and assists in teaching aquatics and/or small watercraft. Current ARC Lifeguard and Waterfront Lifeguard Certification or equivalent. Canoe Instructor Certification is needed for boating instructor.
Minimum age: 18 $200-$300/week
   
Arts & Crafts Director
Responsible for coordinating and implementing the camp's creative arts program. Organize and maintain camp craft supplies and equipment.
Minimum age: 21 $200-$300/week
   
Unit Leader
Supervise unit staff and campers. Responsible for planning and implementation of unit programs, using girls' decision-making.
Minimum age: 21 $200-$300/week
   
Unit Assistant
Teach, guide and supervise campers. Assist the Unit Leader with programming using girl decision-making.
Minimum age: 18 $175-$250/week
   
Activity/Sports Director
Plan, supervise, and direct safe camp sport activities. Assist at waterfront when needed. Current Archery Instructor, ARC Lifeguard and Waterfront Lifeguard Certification or equivalent.
Minimum age: 21 $200-$275/week
   
Nature Specialist
Develops, coordinates and implements the camp's nature/science program. Maintains equipment and assists as needed.
Minimum age: 21 $200-$275/week
   
Nurse
Responsible for health and safety of campers/staff and operation of infirmary. Conducts unit inspections and helps maintain the camp's sanitation practices. Must be a L.P.N. or R.N. and possess a current driver's license.
Minimum age: 21 $350-$525/week
   
Head Cook
Supervises all food service activities, cook and handy girls. Maintain a clean and sanitary food preparation environment, purchase food, and prepare meals.
Minimum age: 21 $250-$425/week
   
Cook
Assist in cooking for campers and staff. Put away food orders, fill pack-out orders, wash pots and pans, and help maintain a sanitary food preparation environment.
Minimum age: 18 $200 -$275/week
   
Handy Girl
Wash dishes, help prepare and serve meals, assist with pack-out orders, and help put away food orders. Assist with maintaining a sanitary food preparation environment.
Minimum age: 14 $150-$200/week

Essential Functions

  • Ability to communicate to staff and campers the safety regulations and emergency procedures
  • Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to camp
  • Ability to communicate and work with campers of various age and skill levels to provide necessary instructions
  • Ability to observe campers behavior, and enforce safety regulations
  • Physical ability to respond to situations requiring first aid
  • Cognitive and communicative ability to plan and conduct the activities
