in the pool at Camp Rotary

Camp Golden Valley, Pioneer Council’s 600-acre Resident Camp in Bostic, NC and Camp Rotary Day Camp at the foot of Crowder’s Mountain just outside of Gastonia has something for every girl this summer. Whether she likes to play sports, get manicures, explore nature or science, make arts and crafts projects, ride horses, spend time at the lake or pool, kayak, star gaze, bike, sing and dance, play games or just make new friends, Camp is where it’s at.

Camp creates an environment that promotes a strong sense of teamwork and group awareness, yet recognizes the importance of leadership and individual success. Reaching beyond the traditions of passive learning, summer camp introduces girls to a wealth of educational experiences and environments that are dynamic and interactive. Each year Camp Golden Valley and Camp Rotary beckons girls with open arms to come and enjoy the simple pleasures of the outdoors.

Camp gives girls a love of the out-of-doors and helps them to become stronger and more confident. Summer camp is where girls can play hard, get dirty, swim in the lake, make homemade ice cream and treats, and go home at the end of camp with stories to share.

At the onset of each week at Camp Golden Valley or Camp Rotary, there are new faces, expectations and unknowns. Girls may even be a little nervous. But soon faces become friends, expectations become experiences and unknowns become adventures
