Troop 72, Kitty Love/Mt. Holly, Bronze Award Recipients
Maddison R., Amy B. and Kelsey S. are all rising 7h graders, are all members of Junior Girl Scout Troop 72 and have all been awarded the prestigious Girl Scout Bronze Award. The Girl Scout Bronze Award is the highest award that a Junior Girl Scout can earn. It recognizes that the girl has gained the leadership abilities and planning skills required to create, and execute a project that helps to make a positive difference in her community. For their Award Project Maddison, Amy and Kelsey made Baggie Books which they presented to Barb Puceta, at the Webb Street School. Baggie Books are literally books made from sandwich baggies. They are used as a teacher resource with children who are visual readers and learn to associate the pictures with words or numbers. In addition, the girls had to complete badge requirements that related to their Literacy Award Project and complete several community service projects. These girls will make our world a better place. Pictured from left to right are the three girls who completed all ten of the requirements for the Bronze Award: Maddison, Amy, and Kelsey.
